When you need an attorney you want to be sure to pick the best. Each year we call upon members of the local bar association to help us do just that. Each licensed attorney that was listed in the Knoxville Bar Associations Directory was sent an invitation to participate in our balloting process. They are each asked to vote for their peers with the idea of who would they call or refer their friends to if they were in need of specialized legal services. The response this year was better than ever. Over nine thousand individual votes were cast during the balloting process.
The winners in several categories were so close in the total amount of votes that we have decided to list the winners alphabetically. We feel confident that all of the attorneys listed herein would provide wonderful representation but the results of this poll represent only one method of determining who are the best of the best. We strongly advise you to use not only this information but to consult your own attorney about their opinion of whom to hire as well as other viable sources of information like Martindale-Hubbell.
*Disclaimer: Cityview does not endorse any of the attorneys in this issue. The listing of Cityview’s Top Attorneys of 2009 is a simple tabulation of the votes submitted by select members of the Knoxville Bar Association.
