Ms. Cravens graduated magna cum laude from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee in 2000 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. In 2004, Ms. Cravens received her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee. While at the College of Law, Ms. Cravens served as the 2003-2004 Chair and 2002-2003 Vice-Chair of Administration of the Speaker Series, co-Chair of the Hooding Committee, and was a member of the Student Bar Association, Criminal Law Society, Law Women, Tennessee Bar Association, and Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Ms. Cravens received the Dean’s Citation for Extraordinary Contributions to the Law School.
Ms. Cravens came to Eldridge & Blakney in June of 2005. Her practice focuses primarily on the defense of felonies and misdemeanors in both State and Federal Courts. Ms. Cravens is admitted to practice in all Tennessee State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Ms. Cravens is an active member of the Knoxville Bar Association: American Inns of Court, Hamilton Burnett Chapter. She serves on the KBA Membership Committee (2008-2010), and the Unmet Legal Needs of Children Committee (2009), is a member of the Barristers (the Knoxville Bar Association’s young lawyers division) where she co-chairs the Law Week Committee, and has served on behalf of the Barristers as a Judge for the Tennessee High School Mock Trial Competition. Ms. Cravens is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Knoxville Defense Lawyers’ Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, East Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women, and Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women.
In addition to her professional activities, Ms. Cravens is a devoted fan of University of Tennessee athletics and the Southern Professional Hockey League’s Knoxville Ice Bears. She is currently serving her third term as Secretary of the Knoxville Ice Bears Booster Club.
